“…Until recently, monofunctional silsesquioxanes (HSiMe 2 O)R 7 Si 8 O 12 (R= i Bu, c ‐C 5 H 9 , c ‐C 6 H 11 , OSiMe 3 ) have been reacted with N ‐allyl‐ N , N ‐(bis(trimethylsilyl)‐ and N ‐allyl‐ N ‐(triisopropylsilyl)amines, allyl alcohol, 4‐penten‐1‐ol, allyl methacrylate, 10‐undecenol, 1‐methoxy‐4‐allyloxyben‐zene, 1‐vinyl‐9‐fluorene, 1,2,3,6‐tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, diallyl bisphenol A . They have also been used for the modification of glycidyl ether‐bisphenol A resin and iridium‐containing light emitters . In all of these cases, the processes were catalyzed by Karstedt's catalyst (Pt 2 (dvs) 3 ) (10 −2 –10 −5 mol of Pt), toluene was used as a solvent, and the reactions were performed at different temperatures (from room to the reflux one), for 6–24 hours.…”
