Abstract:Based on a nonlinear brainstem-thalamus-cerebral cortex dynamic model, a control signal module is added to the cerebral cortex neuclei. Normal, abnormal and controlled state of brainstem function can be successfully simulated with the model on Simulink platform of Matlab. A periodic signal (square pulse) or nonperiodic signal (gauss noise) is imposed on the model. Three quantitative indexes (amplitude, correlation dimension and Kc complexity) are used to analyze the experiment results. The results indicate tha… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
