A Simulation Study of Controlling Epileptic Seizures on Simulink

Abstract: Based on a nonlinear brainstem-thalamus-cerebral cortex dynamic model, a control signal module is added to the cerebral cortex neuclei. Normal, abnormal and controlled state of brainstem function can be successfully simulated with the model on Simulink platform of Matlab. A periodic signal (square pulse) or nonperiodic signal (gauss noise) is imposed on the model.
