A size reduced Gysel power divider with simple structure and high design flexibility

Abstract: In this letter, a new simple structure of Gysel power divider (PD) is proposed. Comparing to the conventional Gysel PD, the high‐power handling capability is reserved with size reduction from the nonlinear relationship between the phase delay and the physical dimension of the utilized open‐circuited coupled line. The structure is analyzed according to an open‐end‐stub‐based equivalent circuit, in which procedure the closed‐form design equations are derived simultaneously.
