“…The Fano fibered-sensor probe may go beyond the limits that the actual probes present. In addition, the probe can also fulfill the needs of two recent cutting-edge technologies, known as Microwave Therapy and Irreversible Electroploration (IRE) technique, which are giving promising results for the treatment of cancer 6163 . These techniques use highly localized E-fields for the ablation of tumoral cells which requires ultra-compact and high resolution probes to monitor the applied E-field distribution on the tissue in order to avoid side effects.…”

“…To the best of our knowledge, Zr-doped NPs have been reported as a novel CT contrast agent, owing to the high X-ray attenuation effect (Shi et al., 2015 ; Tan et al., 2016 ). The CT imaging effect of Gd/CeO 2 -ZrO 2 /DOX-PEG nanoplatform with different concentrations was also evaluated by X-ray CT.…”

“…With the development of nanomedicine, a series of nanosensitive materials have been used for MTT to improve the microwave heating efficiency, such as ball‐in‐ball ZrO 2 nanoparticles, layered MoS 2 nanoflowers, hollow polydopamine nanoparticles and ionic liquids in particular. Ionic liquid, as the most well‐known microwave heating material, has good microwave heating effect through the valid conversion from electromagnetic energy to thermal energy in limited space owing to its ionic properties and excellent polarizability . However, traditional loading materials usually have the risk of leaking them out and then cause toxicity to human body, which often limits their applications .…”
