Abstract:To address the issue of randomness in the mechanical properties of the hydroxyl‐terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) propellant, a stochastic constitutive model (SCM) with a lognormally distributed random parameter Λ was proposed to describe their mechanical behaviors, and the structural integrity of a HTPB propellant grain was analyzed based on it. The results indicate that the stress‐strain curves predicted by the SCM have a good agreement with the experimental curves, and the experimental curves fall within a 95… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
