A study of reversible permeability for perpendicularly superposed induction

Abstract: A study of the variation of the reversible permeability with perpendicularly superposed induction in specimens of well known magnetic materials has been made. Two kinds of variation of this permeability have been observed: in some specimens a monotonic decrease was found and in others the permeability increased before decreasing. This differences in behaviour is discussed as being due to different magnetization processes.
