A Study of Ta2O5 Nanopillars with Ni Tips Prepared by Porous Anodic Alumina Through-Mask Anodization

Abstract: The paper discusses the formation of Ta2O5 pillars with Ni tips during thin porous anodic alumina through-mask anodization on Si/SiO2 substrates. The tantalum nanopillars were formed through porous masks in electrolytes of phosphoric and oxalic acid. The Ni tips on the Ta2O5 pillars were formed via vacuum evaporation through the porous mask. The morphology, structure, and magnetic properties at 4.2 and 300 K of the Ta2O5 nanopillars with Ni tips have been studied using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffr… Show more

“…CaCu 3 Mn 4 O 12 (ref. [19][20][21][22] which is semiconducting, may be transformed into metal by replacing the Ca atoms with La or Bi atoms, 10,11 demonstrating the intriguing consequences seen for A-site replacements in these perovskites.…”

“…The low cortical force, high magnetization and magnetic permeability in combination with almost zero magnetostriction make these materials attractive for use as magnetic-field sensors [ 5 ], electromagnetic shields [ 6 , 7 ], inductor cores for electromagnets [ 8 ], magnetic recording heads [ 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 ], inductor cores [ 13 , 14 ], microwave noise filters [ 15 , 16 ], tunable noise suppressors [ 17 ] and much more. The role of NiFe films and coatings in the production of new nanodevices (such as microelectromechanical MEMS, NEMS) is significant [ 5 , 18 , 19 ].…”
