A Study on Development of a Cost Optimal and Energy Saving Building Model: Focused on Industrial Building

Abstract: Abstract:This study suggests an optimization method for the life cycle cost (LCC) in an economic feasibility analysis when applying energy saving techniques in the early design stage of a building. Literature and previous studies were reviewed to select appropriate optimization and LCC analysis techniques. The energy simulation (Energy Plus) and computational program (MATLAB) were linked to provide an automated optimization process. From the results, it is suggested that this process could outline the cost opt… Show more

“…This section describes the instrumentation and measurement techniques relevant to energy audit activities. An energy auditor must have a basic understanding of measurement techniques and instrumentation in order to be knowledgeable about the purchase or rental and use of the equipment [9,10]. Both the correct instrument and its correct use are fundamental requirements for obtaining useful measured data [15].…”

“…Rework in projects affects workers' temperaments and increases additional costs and wastage of time. Architects and engineers have proposed effective LCC techniques to lower the cost of project life cycles [1,56]. BIM provides stakeholders with an understanding of the LCC of buildings, including the design, construction, operation, and maintenance phases.…”
