A Study on Microalbuminuria in Non-Diabetic Hypertensive Patients Attending a Tertiary Care Hospital in South India

Abstract: BACKGROUND Essential hypertension represents 90 – 95 % of all instances of hypertension. Microalbuminuria was observed to be related to increased chances of coronary artery disease even in patients already on treatment for hypertension. Microalbuminuria was identified with left ventricular hypertrophy recommending equal heart harm and albuminuria in hypertensive patients.
