Abstract: Drug‐eluting bead transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (D‐TACE) is one of the first‐line treatment for intermediate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the dual hypoxia microenvironment, due to inherent tumor hypoxia and TACE‐induced hypoxia, triggers drug resistance in HCC.
