“…KHT, the complementary and alternative therapy investigated in the present study, coincides with the choice and motives of the participants and, by generalization, the client population. A recent study on the utilization ratio for complementary and alternative therapy involving 530 middle-aged Korean women (Park, Cho, Kim, & Lee, 2005) shows that the rank in treatment, in decreasing order, included hand, diet, and psychosomatic therapies. Hand therapy was developed in Korea and has been widely used because of its ease of application without limitations as to location or time.…”
