Abstract: Background: The main maternal complications of preterm premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM) are chorioamnionitis, puerperal pyrexia, abruption and the neonatal complications are neonatal sepsis, congenital pneumonia, neonatal ICU stay and neonatal death.
