Therefore, as an approach for sustainable advancement, fish scales have been transformed to valuable products such as television displays, piezoelectric nanogenerators, and biotemplate for spectroscopy 26 and are applied for heavy metal remediation, wound healing, and blood grouping. 27 In this work, simply by exposing the gold precursor to fish scales under extreme alkaline conditions and elevated temperatures, remarkably stable monodispersed AuNPs of ∼12 ± 4 nm are biosynthesized in a single step, devoid of additional surface modifications.…”
