A synthetic system for the robustness assessment of power system stabilizers

Abstract: This paper describes a method for the robustness assessment of the generator-voltage regulator-stabilizer set of individual power plants in large scale systems. This is carried out using a 2-bus synthetic system, whose parameters are varied to simulate the presence of electromechanical oscillations over a wide range of frequencies.
