A Theoretical Approach upon the Stiffness of Vehicle Resistance Structure Submitted to an Axial Impact

Abstract: The automotive passive safety has the goal to protect the car occupants, so whatever decelerations transmitted to the occupants are manageable by the interior restraints to fall within the range of human tolerance. The ultimate goal of the safety engineer is to reduce injury to car occupants.
