A Unifying Framework for Resilience Analysis

Abstract: A unifying framework in defining and measuring resilience has been an intense research topic in recent years. It is proposed that resilience could be represented by a set of functions comprising the intrinsic capacities of a system, the effectiveness of recovery, and the extrinsic random shock process. Through this perspective, the key constituents in achieving resilience are identified as reliability, robustness, recovery, and reconfigurability.
