A User Cooperation Approach for Interference Cancellation in FDD Massive MIMO Systems

Abstract: The performance of a massive multi-user Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) system, operating in Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) mode, severely degrades under imperfect Channel State Information (CSI). Among the main challenges toward the acquisition of sufficiently accurate CSI at the transmitter is the issue of enormous CSI feedback overhead.
