Abstract: ObjectiveRetinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a condition of aberrant retinal vascularization in premature infants. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major angiogenic factor in both physiologic and pathologic retinal angiogenesis including ROP.
