Absorption and flash photolysis kinetic spectroscopy studies on difluoro-, chlorodifluoro-, dichlorofluoro-, and tetrafluorophosphine

Abstract: 12) Note: An anonymous reviewer suggested the use of a high-temperature H2 treatment to remove adsorbed 02. The experiments reported here show that added oxygen does indeed result in formation of the carboxyl groups from the bonded alkoxyl groups, but that when the system is evacuated at reaction temperatures no reaction takes place. However, the presence of Initially adsorbed oxygen could be the cause of the initial fast reaction observed.
