Abstract: Background: CCN growth factor family regulates a variety of biological events such as cell proliferation, cell invasion, cell differentiation, apoptosis, and growth inhibition. Cysteine-rich protein 61 (Cyr61) is one of six secreted proteins in the CCNs.
