Abstract:To enhance hard-tissue compatibility of Ti, galvanic current between titanium (Ti) and gold (Au) may be available. Prior to the design of medical devices with the capability to generate a galvanic current, it is necessary to understand the control mechanism. In this study, we first measured galvanic current between Ti and Au with various surface areas in Hanks' solution. The galvanic current increased immediately after connection of two electrodes, followed by an abrupt decrease and a steady state. The galvani… Show more
Novel photostable, multicolour fluorescent, highly biocompatible, water soluble, BSA capped pre-nucleation CaCO3 nanoclusters (FCPN) (∼1.3 nm) are developed using a facile biomineralization process.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
