Abstract:Jute fibers were graft-copolymerized with acrylonitrile using gamma radiation technique. The nitrile groups attached to the grafted fibers were converted into amidoxime groups, through an amidoximation process, for using as an adsorbent for the acid dyes from the textile wastewater.
