Abstract:In this work, the generation of acoustic streaming in a rigid walled channel is examined. At low values of the streaming Reynolds number, the time-averaged fluid motion in the channel follows that given by Rayleigh. However, departure from the aforementioned result ensues as the magnitude of the streaming Reynolds number increases. Higher order nonlinear corrections to the Rayleigh streaming solution is given and are expressed in terms of a regular perturbation sequence in nondimensional particle amplitude. It… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
