Acute hepatic failure due to hepatosplenic B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in a patient infected with hepatitis C virus

Abstract: We report a 75-year-old Japanese man infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) who died of acute hepatic failure due to the hepatic infiltration of B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) cells. He suddenly developed jaundice, fatigue, fever, and hepatosplenomegaly during the course of chronic infection with HCV.
