Acute Onset Diplopia and Squint as the Only Presentation of Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension in a Six-Year-Old

Schizophrenia, which is distinguished by psychotic symptoms and frequently leads to social and vocational decline, persists to be a challenge in terms of its aetiology and treatment. Physical and emotional abuse from the partner can lead to paranoid schizophrenia. Paranoid schizophrenia patient shows disturbed thought process due to several causative agents such as chemical and structural dysfunction and environmental influences. Further patient have poor insight, experience disorder of thought and have negative symptoms. A 32 year old female patient was brought to psychiatric department by her mother with the presenting complaints of acute symptoms which include delusion of percussion, delusion of reference, delusion of infidelity, auditory hallucination, suspicious behavior and restlessness. Prior to the current situation patient have taken I week of treatment and visit the psychiatrist for follow up. Clinical features and mental status examination met the criteria for paranoid schizophrenia and administration of antipsychotics to the patient. The client was under the observation for 1 week. The drug therapy was helpful to the client. The course of the disorder in the client was ‘episodic with stable deficit’. The symptoms of the client were reduced and she was stable.

A 5 Years Old Male Child with Inflammatory Demyelinating Diseases: a rare case report

Background: A neurological condition known as demyelinating illness causes damage to the myelin sheath, which protects nerve fibers, optic nerves, and the spinal cord. The damage weakens the conduction of transmission signals in affected nerves. This reduction cause deficiency in cognition, movement, sensation, or other neurological functions in which the nerves are involved. Here we are presenting a case of a 5-year-old male child who was brought by his parents to the emergency department with the chief complaints of difficulty in swallowing, slurred speech, weakness, stiffness of muscle, fever and cough, pain, and loss of coordination. He has a history of hospitalization for pneumonia at the age of one year. Physical examination shows weakness and dullness along with localized tenderness, muscle spasms, difficulty in movements, and slurring of speech. He has undergone a blood test, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). And then started on immunosuppressive therapy.

A Rare Occurrence of Bilateral Lefort III with a known case of Myocardial Infarction

Background: Patients with LeFort III fractures are at an elevated risk of needing emergency airway management because of midface instability and oropharyngeal airway obstruction. Lefort fracture includes fracture of the nasofrontal junction, bilateral area of the frontozygomatic suture, and probable fracture of the zygomatic arch. This fracture is also referred to as cranial facial disjunction. The Novel treatment for bilateral Lefort III is surgical management and medical management. It may be present in anyone who meets with an accident. Here we present the case of a 41-year adult man who came to the emergency department with complaints of head injury, absence of consciousness, nasal bleed drop by drop, swelling in the face, tooth avulsion, and prickling sensation over the lower right side of the face. The patient was kept in emergency ICU for observation and monitoring for one day, then referred to neurosurgery ICU where he was administered intravenous pan 40mg, Inj emset 2ml, Inj pause 1gm, Inj levopril 1gm, Inj ceftriaxone 1gm, Inj optineurin with 500ml ns, Tab zeredol 20 mg, Tab limce 500mg. The Patient was taken to the ophthalmology operation theater for suturing. Open reduction and internal fixation this surgical procedure is done on my patient. The patient's prognosis was good.
