Abstract:EZY‐1 is an antifibrosis peptide purified from Eucheuma. In this study, we explored the acute toxicology of EZY‐1 and the signaling pathways involved in its antifibrotic role. The mouse model of pulmonary fibrosis was induced by bleomycin. Pathological changes in lung tissue could be effectively inhibited by EZY‐1. Acute toxicity and cell proliferation tests indicated that EZY‐1 had no apparent toxicity to mice and cells. We identified proteins that could bind directly to EZY‐1 in vitro on the basis of liquid … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
