Abstract:Improved genetically-encoded calcium indicators (GECIs) are essential for capturing intracellular dynamics of both muscle and neurons. A novel set of GECIs with ultra-fast kinetics and high sensitivity was recently reported by Zhang et al. (Nature, 2023).
