Abstract:A backstepping-based adaptive control is designed for a class of one degree of freedom hysteretic system. The true hysteretic behavior does not need to be known for the controller design. A polynomial description is assumed with uncertain coefficients and an uncertain residual function. These uncertainties are bounded and lump the discrepancies between the adopted description and the real hysteretic behavior. The adaptive controller is able to handle these uncertainties and make the closed loop globally unifor… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
