Addressing infant mortality through positive youth development opportunities for adolescent girls

Abstract: Approaching maternal and infant health through a life-course perspective is a long-term strategy that can improve the well-being and development of women, adolescent girls and children (Collins, Lehnherr, Posner, & Toomey, 2009). Interventions that aim to improve health and well-being among mothers, teen mothers and infants during the perinatal and postpartum periods come too late
