Abstract:Obesity is a critical risk factor for the development of metabolic diseases and is often associated with dysfunctional adipocytes. Prevalent treatments such as lifestyle intervention, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery are often accompanied by adverse side effects and poor patient compliance.
