Adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) Immunomodulation Impact on Skin Tissue Repair

Abstract: Adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) have largely proven their efficiency in wound healing and skin regeneration in vitro and in vivo. They are niched within the hypodermis where they differentiate into skin cell types and migrate to wounded sites to restore cell deficiencies and functions. ADSCs mainly act by an autocrine pathway through their secretome containing growth factors, cytokines and microRNA (miR) involved in their migration and proliferation and that of dermal fibroblasts (DF) and keratinocytes. The… Show more

“…Adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) have been used for regenerative medicine treatments owing to their ability to diferentiate into bone, cartilage, vascular endothelium, and nerve cells; additionally, they are a commonly accepted treatment for osteoarthritis [3,4]. Accordingly, ADSCs not only are attracting attention in the feld of regenerative medicine but also in cosmetology, as they promote fbroblast migration and collagen production in skin wounds and increase the expression of enzymes that inhibit other enzymes from degrading collagen, a primary substance contributing to skin elasticity [5][6][7]. EVs and/or exosomes secreted by ADSCs are also currently attracting attention as structures that regulate many biological processes in target cells, such as attenuating infammation and obesity, in addition to promoting skin cell diferentiation [8][9][10][11].…”

“…Sel punca dapat tinggal (homing) dan bermigrasi ke jaringan yang terluka. Sel punca berdiferensiasi pada jaringan yang terluka dan memiliki kemampuan untuk mensekresikan kemokin, sitokin, faktor inflamasi, berbagai protein matriks ekstraseluler dan faktor pertumbuhan lainnya yang membantu proses regenerasi jaringan [5,6]. Sel punca dapat diperoleh dari jaringan embrionik dan jaringan dewasa.…”
