Abstract:The Charge Extended Huckel (CEH) model, initially introduced for adaptive atomic orbital (AO) basis set construction (J. Chem. Phys. 2023, 159, 164108), has been significantly revised to enhance accuracy and robustness, particularly in challenging electronic situations. This revision includes an extension toward f-elements, covering actinoids with their f-electrons in the valence space. We present a novel noniterative approximation for the electrostatic contribution to the effective Fock matrix, which substant… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
