Abstract:Averaging level control
is used in liquid processing
plants to
optimally use the available volume in surge drums and storage tanks
to stabilize the feed to downstream equipment. This paper describes
three averaging level control techniques, namely, integral gap control
(IGC), ramp horizon control (RHC), and a proposed combination of the
two techniques called ramp horizon integral gap control (RHIGC). RHIGC
is a novel advanced regulatory control (ARC) technique and can be
implemented by using standard distribut… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
