Advancement in biosensing techniques is the topmost priority in the present era of technology as the limitations of conventional methods outweighs its advantages. Hence, design of compact, user and environmental friendly, economical, and highly-sensitive and responsive biosensors is needed. MXenes, two-dimensional layered material, have gained great attention in very little time due to their diverse properties such as enormous conductivity, meager cellular toxicity, elaborated surface chemistry, natural hydrophilicity, magnificent optoelectronic features, and the ability to form stable colloidal suspensions. These properties of MXenes categorize them as a potential material for fabrication of highly-efficient modern-world biosensors The surface functionalization of MXenes can be modified with polymerization, direct surface terminations etc. for enhancing the efficiency of biosensors developed from them. MXenes-based biosensors have been utilized in diverse fields viz. electrochemical biosensing, optical biosensing, wearable biosensing, etc. These biosensors are of prime importance for early detection of deadly diseases such as cancers of various body parts including lungs, pancreas, breast etc., and hyperglycaemia. Moreover, they play an important role for detecting environmental pollutants viz. heavy metals, nitrites, phenols etc. Hence, necessary actions can be taken on time in order to save the health and environment.

COVID-19, one of the worst-hit pandemics, has quickly spread like fire across nations with very high mortality rates. Researchers all around the globe are making consistent efforts to address the main challenges faced due to COVID-19 infection including prompt diagnosis and therapeutics to reduce mortality. Conventional medical technology does not effectively contain the havoc caused by deadly COVID-19. This signals a crucial mandate for innovative and novel interventions in diagnostics and therapeutics to combat this ongoing pandemic and counter its successor or disease if it were ever to arise. The expeditious solutions can spring from promising areas such as nanomedicine and nanotechnology. Nanomedicine is a dominant tool that has a huge potential to alleviate the disease burden by providing nanoparticle-based vaccines and carriers. Nanotechnology encompasses multidisciplinary aspects including artificial intelligence, chemistry, biology, material science, physical science, and medicine. Nanoparticles offer many advantages compared to larger particles, including better magnetic properties and a multiplied surface-to-volume ratio. Given this, the present review focuses on promising nanomedicine-based solutions to combat COVID-19 and their utility to control a broad range of pathogens and viruses, along with understanding their role in the therapy, diagnosis, and prevention of COVID-19. Various studies, reports, and recent research and development from the nanotechnology perspective are discussed in this article.

In this paper, a well‐motivated parameterization of the Hubble parameter (H) is revisited that renders two models of dark energy showing some intriguing features of the late‐time accelerating Universe. A general quintessence field is considered as a source of dark energy. Tighter constraints using recently updated cosmic observational datasets for the considered models have been obtained. The two models described here show a nice fit to the considered uncorrelated Hubble datasets, Standard candles, Gamma Ray Bursts, Quasars, and uncorrelated Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations datasets. Using the constrained values of the model parameters, some features of the late‐time accelerating models and obtained the present value of the deceleration parameter (q0), the present value of the Hubble parameter (H0) and the transition redshift () from deceleration to acceleration have been discussed. The current value of the deceleration parameter for both models is consistent with the Planck 2018 results. The evolution of the geometrical and physical parameters is discussed through graphical representations for both models with some diagnostic analysis. The statistical analysis performed here shows greater results and overall, the outcomes of this investigation are superior to those previously found.
