Advances in Three-dimensional Finite Element Analysis of Non-carious Cervical Defects

Abstract

Three dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) is an important tool in biomechanical analysis research and has been widely applied used in the field of oral biomechanics research. Non carious neck defects (NCCL) are a common and frequently occurring disease in clinical practice. Using FEA to study the stress distribution of teeth before and after NCCL treatment can provide reference and guidance for the treatment of non carious neck defects in clinical practice. This article will discuss the application of FEA in a review on the progress of NCCL repair methods and repair materials in therapeutic research.
