Aggregation of Individual Preference Structures in Ahp-Group Decision Making

Abstract: This paper presents a new procedure, to which we have given the name Aggregation of Individual Preference Structures (AIPS), whose objective is to deal with multiactor decision making when using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the methodological support. This procedure incorporates ideas similar to Borda count methods and transfers to the case of preference structures the principle of aggregation employed in the two approaches traditionally followed in AHP-group decision making (aggregation of individual j… Show more

“…Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures are invoked by an admin module to execute AHP algorithms then display the results to decision makers. In the algorithms, the priorities are calculated using the row geometric mean method (RGMM) [26], either aggregation of individual priorities (AIP) for individual participants, or an aggregation of individual judgments (AIJ) [25] based on the weighted geometric mean method (WGMM) of all participants" judgments can calculated, alerts and notifications for judgment exceed level of consistency are implemented. The consistency ratio (CR) and the geometric consistency index (GCI) are calculated.…”

“…The initial AHP usually consists the following parts: modelisation, valuation, and priorization and synthesis (Levary and Wan, 1998;Moreno-Jiménez et al, 2008;Tiryaki and Ahlatcioglu, 2009;Hsueh and Kuo, 2016). The detailed processes are as follows (Liu and Shih 2005;Escobar and Morenojiménez, 2007):…”

“…The priority of each criterion and sub-criterion is calculated by Row Geometric Mean Method (Escobar & Moreno-jiménez, 2007). Global priorities are calculated from the top of hierarchy by multiplying the local priorities of sub-criteria with the priority of their corresponding criteria at the level above.…”
