Abstract: Brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD) has long been used to assess conduit artery (macrovascular) function. Additionally, the reactive hyperemic (RH) response following FMD cuff occlusion can function as an assessment of upper limb downstream resistance artery (microvascular) function.
