Aleitamento Materno E Alimentação Saudável De Crianças Menores De 2 Anos: Ações Propostas De Acordo Com a Estratégia Amamenta E Alimenta Brasil

Abstract

The strategy Amamenta e Alimenta Brasil (EAAB) is based on the assumption of qualifying the work process of primary care professionals. With this initiative, the Ministry of Health intends to stimulate the promotion of breastfeeding and healthy eating for children under two years of age within the SUS. O trabalho objetiva avaliar o cenário atual sobre o aleitamento materno e alimentação saudável de crianças menores de dois anos e desenvolver propostas de fortalecimento da Estratégia Amamenta e Alimenta Brasil em uma unidade de Atenção Primária em Saúde do município de Icapuí-CE. This is an experience report on the current scenario of breastfeeding and healthy eating in children under two years of age, as well as on the development of proposals for strengthening the EAAB. The work was carried out in Primary Care with the children under two years of age, their families and the health professionals of the PHC. It consisted of the evaluation of the Report on Food Consumption were the children under two years old attached in the territory between the years 2019 and 2022; in permanent health education actions from the training on EAAB and development of other proposals to encourage the monitoring and evaluation of children in Primary Care. The results were methodologically categorized in the challenges of monitoring these children in the pandemic scenario; in the potential of permanent health education for the qualification of actions to promote, protect and support breastfeeding and healthy eating; and in the collective childcare action as a strategy for monitoring children in the territory. In short, the EAAB was a springboard for the continuing education of the health professionals of the unit, encouraging the return to the follow-up of children.
