Algal diversity in riparian lentic habitats of Brahmaputra valley

Abstract:The present investigation was performed to enumerate the freshwater algal diversity in riverine lentic waterbodies of Brahmaputra valley. A total of 194 algal taxa were documented belonging to Charophyta (61), Chlorophyta (49), Euglenozoa (43), Bacillariophyta (22), Cyanobacteria (12), Ochrophyta (4) and Miozoa (3) respectively.
