“…In order to investigate the changes of the Cpf-MSNs@PDA composite after entering the gut of M. separata , M. separata was exposed for 10 h; the midgut tissue was taken out and profixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde at 4 °C for 24 h, then postfixed with 1% osmium tetroxide for 1 h, and dehydrated in gradient concentration of ethanol (50%, 70%, 80%, 95%, and 100%) . The sample was embedded with propylene oxide and an epoxy mixture.…”

The LEICA EM UC7 ultrathin microtome was used to cut the embedded midgut tissue sample into 70−90 nm thick slices; then, the tissue sections were stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate and finally observed by a biological TEM.…”

“…By detecting radiolabeled CO 2 , Dong et al found that the graphene in soil was degraded by a heterogeneous Fenton reaction into the gas phase with H 2 O 2 and ferric oxide that occurred naturally in red soil . With the support of radioactive tracing, Su and co-workers studied the settling behavior of graphene in different water system with extremely low concentration (158 μg/L), and green algae was found to cospittle with graphene and consequently alter the graphene phase distribution. , Lu et al revealed that 14 C-labeled graphene can cross the intestinal wall and enter intestinal epithelial cells and the bloodstream in zebrafish, benefiting from the advantage of 14 C labeling, and the internal exposure dose of zebrafish intestinal epithelial cells was accurately quantified . In another study, Lu et al exposed two sizes of 14 C-labeled graphene (smaller lateral dimensions (SLG, 20–40 nm) and larger lateral dimensions (LLG, 330–630 nm)) into mice by intravenous injection and indicated that 14 C-labeled graphene mainly accumulated in the liver: approximately 60.91 and 74.13% of the total liver uptake for SLG and LLG in liver .…”

“…Su et al (2018) evaluated graphene-alginate associations. After having the surface of few-layer graphene modified with alginate, the systemic and intestinal levels of few-layer graphene were significantly raised, whereas intestinal epithelial cell internalization was dramatically decreased [ 165 ]. In vitro studies indicated that a pectic polysaccharide was obtained from water decoction of Xinjiang L. brabarum using anion exchange chromatography and gel filtration.…”
