Abstract:Air-stable palladium (0) precatalysts are advantageous for facilitating a variety of chemical transformations, and are desir-able precursors for high-throughput experimentation studies. We report investigations into air-stable Pd(0) precatalysts stabi-lized by dimethyl fumarate (DMFU) as an electron-deficient alkene. A Pd(0) DMFU complex with a diazabutadiene (DAB) supporting ligand readily undergoes substitution with both monodentate and bidentate phosphines to form phosphine–Pd–DMFU complexes in situ. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
