All tree-level MHV form factors in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM from twistor space

Abstract: Abstract:We incorporate all gauge-invariant local composite operators into the twistorspace formulation of N = 4 SYM theory, detailing and expanding on ideas we presented recently in [1]. The vertices for these operators contain infinitely many terms and we show how they can be constructed by taking suitable derivatives of a light-like Wilson loop in twistor space and shrinking it down to a point. In particular, these vertices directly yield the tree-level MHV super form factors of all composite operators in N… Show more

“…The construction of composite string vertex operators for the analysed local or Wilson line operators was inspired by the mentioned gluing procedure. An interesting future research direction, which we are planning to pursue, will be to consider pullbacks of composite operators defined on twistor or Lorentz harmonic chiral superspace [77][78][79][80][81][82][83]. We hope that our consideration along these lines could be extended to arbitrary local composite operators.…”

“…MHV form factors of more generic operators were also studied using twistor formalism in [58,59]. 5 We point out that the definition '+' = 1, 2 (and '−' = 3, 4) is different from the notation in [111,112].…”

“…More complicated situation of multiple operators were considered in [41][42][43]. Twistor space based representations of 1/2-BPS and more general form factors were considered in [44,45], see also [46][47][48] for Lorentz harmonic chiral formulation. Special case of form factors of operators corresponding to "defect insertions" was considered in [49].…”
