Abstract:Traditional pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) and Japanese pumpkin (C. maxima) consist of natural polysaccharides. From a scientific basis, natural polysaccharides could be applied to improve hydration in the cosmetic field. The purified polysaccharide was extracted and deproteinized with the CaCl2 method.
