Alveolar ridge preservation

Abstract: Alveolar process is an integral part of the periodontium lending osseous attachment to the teeth. However, being a tooth dependent anatomic structure, it develops in accordance with the developing tooth buds; moreover, it resorbs after tooth loss/extraction over a period of time.
