Amperometric Sensor for Hydroxylamine Based on Hybrid Nickel‐Cobalt Hexacyanoferrate Modified Electrode

Abstract: Hybrid nickel-cobalt hexacyanoferrate (NiCoHCF) particles were immobilized onto a glassy carbon electrode by cyclic voltammetry. Characterization of these particles by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and electrochemistry revealed that NiCoHCF was a substitution-type hybrid hexacyanoferrate rather than a simple mixture system. As an important reducing agent, hydroxylamine could be electrocatalytically oxidized at the NiCoHCF modified electrode. The ef… Show more

“…4, all CVs showed two sets of redox peaks. This result was consistent with the earlier work [24,25]. It is known that the peak potential in MHCFs is determined by many factors, including the kind of transition metal ions coordinated to the N atom, the kind and the number of countercations situated in the cavity of the cubic lattice.…”

“…One promising approach is the use of chemically modified electrodes (CMEs) containing specifically selected redox mediators immobilized on conventional electrode materials. Recently, various chemically modified electrodes (CMEs) have been prepared and applied in the determination of hydroxylamine [14][15][16][17][18], which can significantly lower the overpotentials and increase the oxidation current response.…”

“…CoHCF film can be easily fabricated on various electrode substrates [25]. CoHCF modified electrodes showed good electrocatalytic activity toward a variety of substrates including ascorbic acid [26,27], dopamine [28,29], NADH [30], hydrazine [25], morphine [31] and hydroxylamine [32].…”
