Amrita_student at SemEval-2018 Task 1: Distributed Representation of Social Media Text for Affects in Tweets

Abstract: In this paper we did an analysis of "Affects in Tweets" which was one of the task conducted by SemEval 2018. Task was to build a model which is able to do regression and classification of different emotions from the given tweets data set. We developed a base model for all the subtasks using distributed representation (Doc2Vec) and applied machine learning techniques for classification and regression. Distributed representation is an unsupervised algorithm which is capable of learning fixed length feature repre… Show more

“…Families also reported lack of familiarity with health systems in urban areas especially when they had to locate services at a new location each time. These findings reflect similar experiences elsewhere, where households delay seeking healthcare for sick children because of distance or high out of pocket expenditure contributing further to morbidity and mortality [4, 62, 63].…”

“…The brain tissue that experiences blood circulation disorders in first-time ischemic stroke patients is usually not too extensive compared to hemorrhagic strokes. Hemorrhagic stroke has the risk of causing more severe symptoms because of increased intracranial pressure, which worsens the oxygenation conditions of cerebral tissue (Unnithan et al, 2023). The more severe the stroke the patient experiences, the greater the risk of cognitive impairment (Elendu et al, 2023).…”

“…In [31], feature vectors developed using the Doc2Vec model; then, the Random Forest RF algorithm was used for classi cation; Doc2Vec size varied from 10 to 1000 with an incremental of 10 iterations. The number of decision trees used in the forest ranged from 10 to 150, with an incremental of 10 in each iteration.…”
