Abstract:To overcome computational inefficiency of the traditional subinterval finite element method, a novel adaptive subinterval finite element method based on dynamic sensitivity analysis is proposed to evaluate static response bounds of structures with uncertain-but-bounded parameters. Firstly, the original interval is divided into subintervals, and expansion routes for each displacement component are constructed based on dynamic sensitivity analysis. Then, the structural response bounds are analysed using a modifi… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
