An Agent-Based Simulation of Deep Foundation Pit Emergency Evacuation Modeling in the Presence of Collapse Disaster

Abstract: With the gradual expansion of high buildings and underground spaces, deep foundation pits have been widely used in these engineering projects, but if they are not well-designed, safety problems occur. Proper deep foundation pit design requires proper exit distribution. However, calculating an adequate number of exit distributions for evaluation is difficult due to the numerous influential factors existing in the deep foundation pit environment. To this end, this paper presents a prototype of a decision-making … Show more

“…Considering the distribution and symmetry of the planning and decision-making processes in the shipbuilding projects, an appropriate decision-making method and tool to assist the participants to make better decisions is extremely important. There are many researches on symmetric decision-making theory, including the decision-making model [19][20][21][22][23] and decision-making system modeling [24][25][26][27][28][29]. The purpose of this paper is to provide effective decision-making methods for project participants.…”

“…In recent years, many models have been applied by researchers in pedestrian evacuation simulations, such as the cellular automata model [38,39], the lattice gas model [40], the social force model [41,42], the fluid mechanics model [43,44], the multi-granularity 2-tuple QFD (quality function deployment) model [45], the magnetic model [46], the centrifugal force model [47], and the agent-based model [48].…”

“…A series of elements have been considered in the literature related to individuals' behaviors, either in terms of cooperation [1,2] or competition [3], such as, but not limited to: age [4][5][6], social background [7], the degree of familiarity with the environment [8], the degree of selfishness [9], the presence or absence of guidance or authority figures [4,[10][11][12], the occurrence of herd behavior [13], pressure [14,15], emotions [13,16], or by considering different settings of the environment, such as the presence of a single/multiple exit doors [17][18][19], the width of the door [20], the distance to the exit door [21,22], the visibility of the exits [23], the occurrence of different objects [24,25], or limited visibility [26]. The presence of an obstacle in front of an exit has been a controversial and highly studied aspect in the literature.…”
