Abstract:Wire Electrical Discharge Turning (WEDT) is a unique adaption of the Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) process and enables one to generate precise 3-D axissymmetric profiles on electrically conductive materials irrespective of their hardness. In the present study, profile geometries like spherical, cylindrical, and taper are generated on the same workpiece to create a combined-shape structure. The effect of parametric settings on Volumetric Error (VE), Roundness (Ront), Average Surface Roughness (Ra),… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
