Ensuring security for modern IoT systems requires the use of complex methods to analyze their software. One of the most in-demand methods that has repeatedly been proven to be effective is static analysis. However, the progressive complication of the connections in IoT systems, the increase in their scale, and the heterogeneity of elements requires the automation and intellectualization of manual experts’ work. A hypothesis to this end is posed that assumes the applicability of machine-learning solutions for IoT system static analysis. A scheme of this research, which is aimed at confirming the hypothesis and reflecting the ontology of the study, is given. The main contributions to the work are as follows: systematization of static analysis stages for IoT systems and decisions of machine-learning problems in the form of formalized models; review of the entire subject area publications with analysis of the results; confirmation of the machine-learning instrumentaries applicability for each static analysis stage; and the proposal of an intelligent framework concept for the static analysis of IoT systems. The novelty of the results obtained is a consideration of the entire process of static analysis (from the beginning of IoT system research to the final delivery of the results), consideration of each stage from the entirely given set of machine-learning solutions perspective, as well as formalization of the stages and solutions in the form of “Form and Content” data transformations.

Information systems that are based on real-time file integrations have an essential role to improve the quality of organizations' business process management. File transfers and data integrations between discrete systems have gained great importance. However, network and security issues have emerged due to the integration of file transfer processes and the structure of files. Thus, an effective and self-learning anomaly detection approach is needed for the file integration processes to provide the persistence of integration channels, data integrity, and availability of file transfer processes. A novel anomaly detection approach that focuses on file transfers between discrete systems is proposed in this paper. The proposed anomaly detection approach is a self-learning module for the file transfer processes. For this purpose, anomalies that occur in file transfer processes are detected by applying machine learning techniques. Four clusteringbased machine learning approaches are applied to detect anomalies in the file integration processes: Elliptic Envelope, Isolation Forest, Local Outlier Factor, and One-Class Support Vector Machine.

Özet-Günümüzde, veri depolama ve yazılım geliştirme teknolojilerinin çeşitliliğinde büyük bir artış yaşanmıştır. Hızla gelişen ve değişen teknolojiler sebebiyle, ortak çalışan organizasyonlardaki entegrasyon ve çok çeşitlilik, temel bir sorun olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu kapsamda dosya entegrasyonları, farklı iş platformları arasındaki veri bütünleştirmesine yardımcı olan etkili bir çözüm olarak sunulmaktadır. Böylelikle, farklı elektronik sistemler arasındaki rutin iş süreçleri ve iş mantıkları otomatize edilebilmektedir. Anomali tespiti, sistemlerde meydana gelebilecek anormal durumları tespit eden bir veri analiz işlemidir. Anomali tespiti, bilgi tabanlı sistemlerde beklenmedik durumlara karşı farkındalık ve beklenen davranışa uymayan anomaliler karşısında gerekli eylemlerin yerine getirilmesini sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, anomali tespiti dosya entegrasyonlarında meydana gelen anomalilerin tespiti için önemli bir veri analizi işlemidir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, dosya entegrasyonu sistemlerinde gerçekleşen anomalileri tespit edebilmek için ontoloji tabanlı bir yaklaşım sunulmaktadır. Dosya entegrasyonlarında anormalliklerin tespiti, bilgi güvenliği üçlüsünden (gizlilik, bütünlük ve kullanılabilirlik) biri olan kullanılabilirlik açısından önemlidir. Entegrasyonlardaki anomalilerin büyük bir kısmı veri bütünlüğüne yöneliktir ve bu anomaliler transfer süresinden ya da gelen dosya boyutundan tespit edilerek yakalanabilmektedir. Önerilen ontolojik yaklaşımda, örnek bir sisteme yapılan dosya entegrasyonları sorgulanarak entegrasyon işlemlerinde meydana gelen anomaliler tespit edilebilmektedir. Önerilen yaklaşımın, dosya entegrasyon sistemlerinde veri bütünlüğüne ve kullanılabilirliğe (dosya akışını durdurabilecek anomaliler) yönelik anormal durumlara karşı ontoloji bazlı bir çözüm sunması amaçlanmaktadır.
